Apsley House at Hyde Park Corner was the London home of the Duke of Wellington and is now a museum run by English Heritage. Known as 'Number One, London', it houses a magnificent collection of paintings, porcelain, sculpture, and silver presented to Wellington by grateful European sovereigns after the Battle of Waterloo.
