Hadley Highstone is a Grade II listed stone monument on Kitts End Road in Monken Hadley, marking the site of the Battle of Barnet (1471) — one of the decisive battles of the Wars of the Roses. The stone is a fascinating piece of history, set beside Monken Hadley Common. A good stop on a walking circuit of the common for older children interested in history.
