Terms of use
Last updated: 6 July 2026
Village is a tool for families to find activities and each other. These terms are short because the deal is simple: be genuine, be kind, and use Village for what it's for.
Using Village
- You must be an adult (18+) to create an account. Village is for parents and carers — children don't have accounts.
- Use your real identity. A village only works when people are who they say they are.
- No abuse, harassment, spam, or commercial solicitation. No unlawful content of any kind.
- We can suspend or remove accounts that put other families at risk or break these rules.
Your content
Everything you post — events, messages, photos, reviews — remains yours. You give us permission to store and display it to the people you've shared it with, which is what makes the app work. Delete your content or your account and that permission ends.
Staying safe
Village helps you discover places and meet other parents, but we can't vet every venue or every person. Opening hours and facilities change; check before you travel. When meeting people you've connected with through Village, use the same judgement you would anywhere else — meet in public places, and remember that your children's safety and supervision are always your responsibility.
The service
Village is provided free and as-is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for losses arising from your use of it beyond what the law requires. We may update features over time; if we ever make a change that significantly affects you, we'll say so in the app.
The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions: hello@getvillageapp.co.uk.
